Marticville briefly placed on lockdown this morning

Dear Parents,

Marticville Middle School was briefly placed on lockdown this morning after an individual directed a threat on the telephone towards me. State police were notified and responded, apprehending the individual near the school. Police charged the individual. No one was injured during the incident, and the individual did not possess weapons.  We followed district emergency procedures.  The lockdown was initiated at 7:50 a.m. and lifted at 8:15 a.m.

Our staff and students did a great job responding to the lockdown and instruction was not interrupted.  If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me.

Sincerely,

Christine Santaniello

Beautiful view from Marticville this morning!

Excited to see everyone on Friday!
